The renewable (non-tenure track) position will contribute to the major in Communication with its focus on media literacy, production, and advocacy, as well as teach courses that serve our undergraduate Liberal Arts Curriculum. Of particular interest is the ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: digital production, digital marketing, and social-media marketing.  The position emphasizes digital media creation and its application to business with a mission-centered interest in the role of digital technologies to create positive social change and media studies, as well as an interest in the use of Artificial Intelligence in content creation and AI’s social and cultural impacts. The Communication program is part of the new Narrows Communications and Humanities Center, a digital maker-space, and this position will hold service responsibilities that are integral to a broader institutional commitment to developing the instructional role of technology on campus and incorporating digital communication technologies across academic disciplines. The position thus offers a unique opportunity for the advancement of digital media and technology education at the College, both for the Communication and other academic departments.
