The AEJMC Job Hub will be offered during the AEJMC 2017 Chicago, IL conference on August 9-12 at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile. The service provides program representatives and candidates the opportunity to meet one-on-one in an interview setting during the 2017 AEJMC Chicago conference. Individuals using Job Hub
In order for individuals to be registered in the service, you must be a current member of AEJMC and be a conference registrant at the time of sign-up. This stipulation does not apply to participating programs. There will be NO on-site registration for those using the Job Hub service. You should upload your materials for participation at https://aejmc2.wufoo.com/forms/2017-job-seekers-form/ or contact Felicia Greenlee Brown, AEJMC Job Hub Coordinator, Felicia@aejmc.org in order to learn how to submit information for participation. Individuals wanting to use the service are required to have requested materials to the central office by June 1. Schools using Job Hub
Schools may review files on individuals seeking employment opportunities and individuals may review files on position openings. Rates for programs using the service at the conference will be $125 for the first position and $100 for each additional. If your program anticipates an opening in the near future, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. The conference Job Hub service affords programs the chance to meet potential applicants by scheduling preliminary interviews during the week of the conference or by browsing through the vitas of the candidates that are registered with the service. Because of the large amount of individuals requesting to use the Job Hub service, the association has placed the candidates’ vitas on this protected portion of the AEJMC website. You are encouraged to view the site and become familiar with the candidates.
There is up to a 300-word biographical sketch and a full vita of each candidate on this site. Vitas and position descriptions will remain on this site 60 days after the conference. There will not be hard copy versions of the vitas on-site in Minneapolis, however, wi-fi is available for conference attendees to view this site. Interview rooms will be available Wednesday, Thursday and Friday beginning at 8 am running through 7pm each of the stated days.
The candidates have been told that program representatives will review their information PRIOR to the conference and should be contacted PRIOR to the conference to set-up interview times. A limited number of rooms will be available for interviewing participating candidates
A preliminary version of the conference program can be accessed from www.AEJMC.org beginning in early July which may aid you in deciding your interviewing times. The candidates will also have to opportunity to review your position descriptions and may contact you prior to the conference to request an interview.
Programs participating in the service should have requested materials to the central office by July 29.
