The 100th AEJMC Annual Conference
Closing the Gap: Media, Research and the Profession
The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) is a nonprofit, educational association of journalism and mass communication educators, students and media professionals. The Association’s mission is to advance education, foster scholarly research, cultivate better professional practice and promote the free flow of communication.
The 2017 Conference will be held in Chicago, Illinois. AEJMC conferences are attended by more than 2,000 journalism and mass communication administrators, educators, and researchers; well-known authors and publishers of communication texts; companies and organizations tracking emerging trends in higher education; social media professionals and internet and technology professionals; and practitioners.
The AEJMC Conference will feature sessions, panels and workshops on the latest research, teaching methods and public service in the various components of journalism and mass communication including topics that range from teaching and media ethics issues to incorporating diversity in the curriculum, and media management issues. There are various opportunities to network and socialize at our receptions, luncheons and socials. In addition, the opportunity of the year awaits conference attendees to meet representatives from some of the leading publishers in the world, as you browse titles and view products for the classroom at the AEJMC Exhibit Expo.
