2. Extensive listing of job openings
Six issues a year of AEJMC News, which features an extensive placement service listing journalism and mass communication job openings in colleges and universities across the country.
3. AEJMC annual convention
The opportunity to attend the AEJMC convention. The four-day convention features more than 350 educational and research sessions, 175 outside speakers as well as practical workshops. The convention also features an on-site placement service, a research paper area, exhibits offering the latest in classroom materials, and ample time to meet with peers and make valuable contacts.
4. Networking and contacts
AEJMC membership provides the unique opportunity to meet (either in person at the convention or by telephone) colleagues at other colleges and universities to discuss mutual problems, teaching tips and research ideas. AEJMC offers you a unique support group.
5. Opportunity for divisional membership
AEJMC meets your diverse needs through special interest divisions, which you may join for a nominal additional fee. These divisions and focus groups feature newsletters devoted to their specific area of communications. Some also offer additional publications, syllabus banks and divisional meetings.
